In late Spring 2016, Friends of Kingsmead Field initiated a project to create a wildflower meadow. Over 100 members of the local community took part in preparing the ground and planting the seeds. The result was a riot of colour that continues to produce a variety of wildflowers over 12 months later. In addition, many other wildflowers grow around the field, some naturally seeded, others planted by volunteers or committee members. Here are a collection of photos to celebrate all things wildflower!
